The Restaurant Los Naranjos, founded in 1988, is a family-run business where it is possible to enjoy some of the most traditional dishes of the Province of Granada and in particular those of the Lecrin Valley.

The kitchen is led by our Chef, Jose Manuel Vallejo, who has been brought up in the family business. He remains faithful to the recipes of his youth, adapting his dishes to modern cuisine without losing sight of their origins – where the wealth of local produce and citrus fruit are the stars of the show.

In addition to providing a full and varied menu all year round, Los Naranjos also offers traditional warming dishes (“de cuchara” literally “eaten with a spoon”) in winter and light refreshing alternatives in summer. Furthermore, during special holidays such as Christmas and Holy Week, we provide festive delicacies that no traditional table should be without.

So, in winter, `”spoon dishes” will take centre stage, such as “Cocido de Cardos e Hinojos”, “Olla de San Antón” and “Remojón de Naranja” (orange salad).
With spring comes Holy Week when the menu will include “Potaje de Garbanzos” (chic peas), “Habas del terreno” (broad beans), “Sopa de Panecillos” (soup with tuna meatballs), and “Bacalao” (cod) cooked in a number of ways. In summer we display a selection of fresh fish for your choice and offer refreshing dishes such as “Pipirrana” (tomato and fresh vegetable salad) and cold soups such as “Salmorejo” and traditional Andaluz Gaspacho.

Our desserts also derive from home cooking recipes. Our mandarin or lemon mousse and our orange tart are our most “noble” puddings made using local citrus fruit.
